Michel Gondry is a French film director, screenwriter, and producer. He was born in Versailles, France, in 1963 and first gained recognition as a music video director, working with artists such as Daft Punk and The White Stripes. Gondry's feature film debut was the 2004 romantic comedy "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind," which was a critical and commercial success and earned him an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay. He has since directed several other films, including "The Science of Sleep" (2006) and "The Green Hornet" (2011).
